There are patterns that are instantly recognizable without being able to name them – gingham is one of them. This scarf reinvents it: in rich green, broken down into fine stripes, with a volume that one would hardly expect from such a lightweight piece. It is woven in La Rioja using a technique that dates back to the 15th century – hand-carded with traditional plant teasels, a craft that gives the fiber its characteristic fluffiness. The result is a scarf you'll hardly want to take off on cold days, with hand-knotted fringes as the final, unmistakable detail.
